Having said that the image above, from their “Interiors” Series, is what is currently piquing my interest… It’s so simple visually, but the idea blows my mind. I can almost feel the skin stairs beneath my feet as I walk through this living building.
“It’s just a picture of a tartan ribbon and may seem unremarkable, yet it marks a crucial moment in the development of colour photography and forms the basis of the photographs we take today.” - Phil Coomes, BBC News Website
A fantastic article on the BBC website exploring the origins of colour photography and the evolution of the medium.

Yasumasa Morimura’s work has always fascinated me. Playing with concepts of cultural and gendered identity his work is expertly subversive in nature. I actually wrote my dissertation about his work and the way that he explores concepts of western beauty and femininity from an eastern male’s perspective.

Daniel Lee has been compositing images of animals and people together for years in his “Manimals” project, calling in to question not only the very nature of humanity but also the matieriality of the digital image. His work blows my mind.

He has always been my favourite photographer. Giving some love for Mr Bïyan <3
